Contraception & Emergency Contraception

We offer a variety of contraceptive methods including

  • Implants
  • Intrauterine devices -Coils (IUD/IUS)
  • Oral Contraceptives (The Pill)
  • Contraceptive Injections

The doctor or nurse will be happy to help you decide which method would suit you best.

On the day that you attend if you are counselled for a procedure such as IUD/IUS/Implant an appropriate care plan is put in place and a designated appointment slot is booked for you to attend.

If your contraceptive device is nearing the expiry date it may be a good idea to attend as soon as possible.

Most GP practices offer contraceptive advice and many supply contraception including fitting coils and implants so please contact your GP directly to check.

Vasectomies are not provided by this service so please make an appointment to see your GP to discuss.

Both male and female condoms are also freely available from the clinics.
They can also be bought over the counter in many shops and pharmacies.
